摘要 PURPOSE:To correctly shape an abrasive wheel to a prescribed shape by detecting the time point when the edge surface of a rotary truer contacts the edge surface of the abrasive wheel by a contact detecting sensor, in the correction for the abrasive wheel, and by NC-shaping-controlling the abrasive wheel on the basis of the time point. CONSTITUTION:A rotary truer 12 is advanced 16 towards an abrasive wheel 3 by receiving the operation starting of a trueing device 5, and then advanced leftward 17, and when the edge surface contacts the right edge surface of the abrasive wheel 3, the contact nise or contact vibration is detected by a contact detecting sensor 20, and an output signal is outputted into the operation selecting means 15 of an NC controller. The leftward shift of the rotary truer 12 is controlled 18 along the shape of the abrasive wheel to be corrected, and when the rotary truer 12 passes through the left edge surface of the abrasive wheel 3, said rotary truer 12 is retreated, and further advanced rightward, and return- controlled 19 to the original position. Therefore, even if the gap between the abrasive wheel and the rotary truer varies because of the thermal deformation of a grindsrone shaft, the abrasive wheel can be shaped correctly to a prescribed shape.
