In high-voltage installations with metal casing and compressed gas insulation, housings (1, 7) whose longitudinal axes are mutually inclined must often be interconnected via an intermediate piece (8). An intermediate piece (8) consists of two rings (19, 20) whose front faces are in contact. Each ring has holes (22, 32, 23, 33) on an inner (21) and an outer (31) graduated circle. The two rings are connected to the flange (9, 10) of one of the housings (1, 7) at their respective graduated circles (21) and to each other at their respective outer graduated circles (31). On one ring (20), the holes (32) on the outer graduated circle (31) are elongated holes (32) whose length is equal to half the spacing between the holes beta a2. The spacing between the holes on the outer graduated circle (31) of the other ring (19) is equal to half beta a2 or is equal to beta a2 when the gas seals are located only on the ring (20) with the elongated holes (32). The intermediate piece (8) makes it possible to set the angles between the longitudinal axes to any +/- value.
