A bus termination device is provided, with a greater spacing from the network closure device than all of the terminals (TE). Each terminal includes an input amplifier (22), with a succeeding clock-and frame-sync unit (24), a two bit delay (30) a buffer store and logic unit (38) and an output amplifier (40). The input amplifier is coupled to the outward line and the output amplifier to the return line. Additionally in each terminal there is a second input amplifier (42) coupled to the return line. To this amplifier is coupled an adaptive phase detector (44), a store (46) for storage of a shift period, a second delay unit (48) for delaying the signals by this shift period, and a times and control unit (50) for control of the buffer store and logic unit together with the second input amplifier. ADVANTAGE- Phase difference reduced allowing increased bus length.
