Vertically sliding door with horizontal panels

The vertically sliding door is constructed from horizontal panels which are connected to each other by hinges. Each panel has a U-shaped arm (8) projecting from its lower edge which forms a hinge with a bracket (10) fixed to the upper edge of the panel immediately below with a horizontal hinge pin (7). The lower edge of the upper panel (2) has a concave surface which fits over the convex surface of the lower panel (3). The lower end of the concave surface of the upper panel rests on a sealing strip (33) fitted in a groove in the lower panel. The upper part of the concave part of the upper panel rests directly on the upper edge of the lower panel. The panel dimensions and the position of the hinge axis are such that there is a compressive force between the panels. @(14pp Dwg.No.1,2/9)@
