The child safety seat (10) is esp. for vehicles. It has a seat section (12) that can be adjusted and fixed in various positions w.r.t. a base section (14). A headrest (20) extends from and can pivot about the upper edge (18) of the seat backrest (16). USE/ADVANTAGE - In its reclined position, the child seat does not press into the vehicle seat, to which it is attached.
