PURPOSE:To perform good excavation control in response to the soil property change by correctively calculating the ground investigation data and its excavation control conditions stored in a database memory in response to the actual soil property detected and measured by ultrasonic sensors and RI sensors. CONSTITUTION:A central control room 300 controlling a shield excavator S drilling a tunnel T is provided on the ground surface section, a pair of a transmitter and a receiver 24, 26 are provided on the cutter 20 of the shield excavator S, pulse radio waves are transmitted and received toward the front of a heading 22, and the soil property of the heading 22 is detected. The first and second ultrasonic sensors 30a, 30b are provided near a shield chamber 14 on an injection pipe 16 and a drain pipe 18, and the density and speed of slurry 100 are detected. An agitator is provided in the chamber 14 to unify the slurry density, and multiple RI sensors 60 are provided to measure the density distribution of the slurry 100. Stable excavation of the heading 22 can be performed. |
