MANUFACTURE OF CORROSION RESISTANT LAYER COVERED METALLIC TUBE

PURPOSE:To prevent fusion to the metallic tube of a butt weld zone of an end of a corrosion resistant metallic sheet by forming a recessed part in advance on a place corresponding to a butt part of the corrosion resistant metallic sheet on the surface of the metallic pipe. CONSTITUTION:In performing TIG welding on the butt part 21 of the stainless steel sheet 2, the recessed part 11 to prevent fusion to the centrifugal cast-steel tube 1 of a fusion welded part of the butt part 21 is formed in advance on the place corresponding to the butt part 21 of the stainless steel sheet 2 on the surface of the centrifugal cast-steel tube 1. When the butt part 21 of the stainless steel sheet 2 is then subjected to TIG welding, fusion to the centrifugal cast-steel tube 1 of the weld zone of the butt part 21 of the stainless steel sheet 2 is surely prevented by existence of the recessed part 11 formed on the centrifugal cast-steel tube 1.
