摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of evaluating the extrogen activity suppression effect of tamoxifen by using a DNA including the whole or a part of the base sequence of a gene responding to estrogen or the base sequence of EST (expressed sequence tag), an evaluation method for tamoxifen, an evaluation method for judging whether unknown specimens have tamoxifen-like action or not, and DNA microarrays including the whole or a part of the base sequence of the gene or the EST for the evaluation. <P>SOLUTION: When both of estrogen and tamoxifen are included in the specimens among the cases where the gene or EST are affected their gene expression by the chemicals having the estrogen-like activities, the DNA including the whole or a part of the base sequence of the gene or EST is used, of which the gene expression is more suppressed or more induced in comparison with the case where only the chemical substance having the estrogen-like activity is used thereby evaluating the estrogen activity suppression effect of the tamoxifen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
