PURPOSE:To obtain a modified asphalt showing an excellent bond state at low temperatures containing smaller amount of copolymer in comparison with the conventional asphalt by blending a specified styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer with straight asphalt. CONSTITUTION:The objective asphalt is obtained by blending a styrene-isoprene- styrene block copolymer decomposable by heat, a shearing force and an acid with straight asphalt. In addition, the asphalt is used for a water-proof sheet composed of a high-tenacity polyester non-woven fabric. |
