PURPOSE:To embody an ink jet printing device capable of continuously printing an ideal image without producing a conspicuous white stripe even with occurrence of a feeding failure of a specific nozzle or occurrence of twist. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet printing device for conducting printing using a printing head 209 making ink adhere to a printing medium 236, a positioning means is provided. When the printing medium 236 is a fabric, the positioning means determines the relative position of the printing head 209 to the printing medium 236 so that the direction of fibers forming the fabric differs from the arranging direction of ink dots formed on the printing medium using the printing head 209.
