Random siloxane copolymers having repeating units represented by general formulae (I), (II) and (III) at random and resin compositions containing the same. The production process comprises conducting a reaction among at least one specified silicon compound, at least one polycarbonate and/or diol dicarbonate, and optionally at least one diester of a dicarboxylic acid in the presence of an esterification or transesterification catalyst.
