DATA BLOCK MANAGEMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for managing data block for a data processing system. SOLUTION: A data processing system is provided with a host computer 15 and data processing hardware. The computer 15 is provided with a main memory 17 which stores data blocks to be processed by means of the data processing hardware and the hardware is provided with a local memory which locally stores the subsets of the data blocks stored in the main memory 17. A desired data block is down-loaded to the local memory from the main memory 17 by reading a data block division to be processed from the local memory when the division exists in the local memory or interrupting a host processor when the division is not stored in the local memory.
