PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of phases of output signals and the number of output wires by a method wherein advance and delay signals are multiplied by a prescribed number to be prescribed number-multiplied signals and an orientation signal and magnetic pole position signals are handled on a time shared basis. SOLUTION: An advance signal A and a delay signal B outputted from an encoder 1 are inputted to a quadruple circuit 2 consisting of a divider circuit, etc. A quadruple signal C is outputted from the quadruple circuit 2 and an orientation signal D for judging whether the direction is a CW direction or a CCW direction is outputted from the quadruple circuit 2 to be inputted to a time sharing circuit 3. A Z point signal indicative of a Z point (zero point) from the encoder 1 and magnetic pole position signals U, V, W indicative of magnetic pole positions of a motor are inputted to the time sharing circuit 3 and a position direction signal 10 is outputted therefrom. As a result, signals outputted from the encoder 1 has two phases of the quadruple signal C and position direction signal 10 and the number of wires are only six when including the wires of a power source and a diameter of the cable can be reduced, thereby facilitating the assembling and achieving cost reduction. |
