<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately change a display color of various types of information including commodity information, component information, or original material information. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic rack label uses a liquid crystal display device, which is provided with a chiral nematic liquid crystal 41 having a memory performance controlled by, at least, two different optical states, a planar state and a focal conic state, according to an impressed voltage, clamped between a display observation surface side substrate 21 and a rear side substrate 31 and a prescribed light absorbing layer 33 exhibiting a background color in the rear side substrate 31, as display means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
