PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the process resistance and reliability of a color liquid crystal display element having silver salt method color filters. SOLUTION: The color liquid crystal display element having substrates 1, 1', a liquid crystal layer 5 and a color filter layer is constituted by including a silver salt emulsion layer 3 into the color filter layers described above and forming the silver salt emulsion layer 3 only in part (required part) on the substrate 1'. The silver salt emulsion layer 3 consisting of gelatin is formed only on the required part in such a manner, by which the process resistance and reliability of the color liquid crystal display element having the silver salt method color filters are improved. |
