PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective an inexpensive means combining a gelatin photographic material with a laminated base material including a polyolefin biaxially stretched film. SOLUTION: This photographic element comprises a paper base, at least one photosensitive silver halide layer, and the biaxially stretched polyolefin sheet layer formed between the uppermost part of paper base and this silver halide layer, this element is characterized in that the biaxially stretched polyolefin sheet has the uppermost part of the stretched polyolefin polymer combining with the gelatin and this polymer layer combining with the gelatin contains a low-density polyethylene.
