<p>For direct and on-line study of the physiological states of cell cultures, a robust flow injection system has been designed and interfaced with flow cytometry (FI-FCM). The core of the flow injection system includes a microchamber designed for sample processing. The design of the microchamber allows not only an accurate on-line dilution but also on-line cell fixation, staining, and washing. The system is thus particularly useful since it operates automatically without direct operator supervision for extended time periods.</p> |
