High-quality disubstituted metallocene compounds can be completely synthesized at a low cost in high yields by an easy method by the reaction of a metallocene dihalide with a Grignard reagent which is a compound of the general formula (I): RMgX (wherein R is optionally substituted aryl, benzyl or diarylphosphinomethylene, and X is halogen) under specified conditions.
