PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording method which can determine optimum recording power and strategy at every recording time and optimize recording conditions more. SOLUTION: When the light emission waveform obtained by one of coloring matter system media as an optical disk medium consists of multipulses composed of 1 pulse train, the pulse width TE of a heating pulse E and the pulse width TF of a following multipulse F are determined as elements of a laser light emission waveform rule, test writing to a specific area of the optical disk medium is tried variously by using combinations of different kinds of recording power Po and pulse widths TE and TF, and the recording power Po and pulse widths TE and TF for recording are determined according to the test writing results, thereby performing writing by using the optimum laser light emission waveform rule for coloring matter system media which performs recording by using, specially, multipules.
