<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize low-voltage drive, equalization of the amount of current, widening prevention of an electron beam, and prolonging of service life, and prevent short-circuiting between electrodes in manufacturing. SOLUTION: A plurality of strip-shaped cathode electrode lines 13 are formed on a lower substrate 11. An insulation layer 14 is formed on the cathode electrode lines 13, and a plurality of strip-shaped gate electrode lines 15 crossing the cathode electrode lines 13 are formed thereon. A multiplicity of fine pores are formed in crossing positions of the cathode electrode lines 13 and the gate electrode lines 15, and each of these areas corresponds to one pixel of a display. The fine pores reach the cathode electrode lines 13 through the insulation layer 14 and the gate electrode lines 15, a projecting structure made of metal having a trapezoidal cross section is projectingly provided in each fine pore, and on its upper surface part an electron emitting part is formed, having a carbon nanotube erected on a surface thereof.</p> |
