PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of reliability due to mixture of foreign matter in an oil-free screw compressor. SOLUTION: This oil-free screw compressor has a low pressure stage compressor main body 1 and a high pressure stage compressor main body 2. Power of an electric motor 17 is transmitted through gears 8a and 8b to an oil pump 8. As the oil pump is started, lubricating oil stored in an oil sump 9 provided at a lower part of a gear casing 31 is fed from an oil strainer 10 through the oil pump to be partly introduced to an oil cooler 6, and partly bypass the oil cooler to be introduced to a combined flow part 11. Part of the lubricating oil introduced to the oil cooler is introduced from the oil cooler to the combined flow part. After coil temperature of the lubricating oil is set to be correct at the combined flow part, the lubricating oil is introduced to a lubricating part of the oil-free compressor. The lubricating oil cooled to the utmost of the ability of the oil cooler is introduced through different routes of piping 21 to oil jackets 1b and 2b of the compressor main body.
