METHOD FOR ABSORBING ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE USING SOLAR CELL

A method for absorbing electromagnetic wave using solar cells in which reflection of electromagnetic wave from the solar cell can be eliminated without impeding photovoltaic power generation. Upper electrodes (2, 2) of a plurality of solar cells (1) are connected through a conductor (7) and a lower electrode (6) is shared to form a solar cell module (10). Reflection wave is absorbed by contriving the number of solar cells (1) being arranged or the wiring method or connecting a capacitor (13) between the output terminals (8, 9) thereby matching the impedance of solar cells for an incident electromagnetic wave (12) with the characteristic impedance of electromagnetic wave. Furthermore, a plurality of solar cell modules (10) of different surface area and shape are arranged while differentiating the phase of reflection waves from individual solar cell modules such that the reflection waves can be canceled each other. Alternatively, electromagnetic wave reflectors (54, 57) may be provided on the rear surface of the solar cells (1) or the wall face (56) for fixing them and meshed electromagnetic wave reflectors (55) may be provided on the surface of the solar cells such that the waves reflected from the electromagnetic wave reflectors (54, 57) on the rear surface or wall face and the waves reflected from the meshed electromagnetic wave reflectors (55) are canceled each other.
