PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material having higher gradation and capable of supplying a favorable image even in the output of an image formed on a computer and to provide an image forming method using the sensitive material. SOLUTION: In the image forming method, an image having a characteristic value A of 0.5-10% which expresses the area proportion of a density range of <=[(minimum image density)+0.1 (density D0 )] in the maximum density image region is formed.
