PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image conversion panel providing a radiation image of uniform and high image quality, and a radiation image information reader. SOLUTION: A reference face specifying means is provided outside an image forming region of this radiation image conversion panel, and the unevenness of a panel surface is to be within a range of focus depth of a converging lens to the reference face of the reference face specifying means or a face parallel with the reference face. Further, a photo-detecting means comprising the converging lens and a line sensor is moved along the reference face of the panel to read radiation image information from the panel.
