<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict use by an unauthorized user in a copying device managing system managing a copying device capable of realizing the control of a printing job by the management of an ID (identification) number from a host computer on a management base point side through a public line. <P>SOLUTION: The copying device managing system is informed of the user ID number of a person who uses the copying device when a trouble is caused. If the same error is caused when the copying device is used next time, it is regarded as some unauthorized use, and a warning is displayed on an operation part when the specified user ID number is inputted from the next use time so as to call user's attention.
