<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controllable brake using magnetic rheology fluid, a vehicle steering command like a resistance device, and a force feedback device. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic rheology fluid brake 10 uses a constant volume type fluid pump 12 designed to effect force feed of magnetic rheology fluid 24 through a viscosity regulating device 14. The viscosity regulating device is designed such that a force feed limit on the fluid pump is changed by varying viscosity of magnetic rheology fluid into controllable, and in this way, resistance to variation of a pump shaft 16 occurs to a pump housing 18. An electronic steering device for a work vehicle uses a magnetic rheology fluid brake shown as a resistance device to provide visual feedback as a function of the rotation position of a steering shaft 54. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
