<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a stamp printing in a position providing a beautiful appearance of a document in a double-page output by use of a stamp printing function. <P>SOLUTION: A printer driver comprises the function of checking a binding method (left/right/upper binding) and a stamp printing position accompanied by selection of the stamp printing function and the double-page output, which are set by a user operation, and of resetting the printing position of facing pages so that stamps are printed symmetrically to the double-page connecting line (binding line). In a general stamp printing not using this function, the stamps are printed in the same position of all pages (Fig. A). According to this function, the stamp positions are symmetric to the double-page connecting line in the spread second and third pages (Fig. B). An example of left binding is shown in the same drawing. In case of right binding, since the stamp position is reverse to that in the left binding, the printer driver can execute a processing according to the setting of the binding method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
