<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein optical/electric crosstalks occur very often in a conventional optical communication module; and the conventional optical communication module hardly operates at a high speed because a light receiving element, a drive IC, and an amplifying IC are mounted on a flat printed board and sealed up with molding resin in one piece in the conventional optical communication module. <P>SOLUTION: The optical communication module 1 is equipped with a transmission unit composed of a light emitting element 3 and its driving IC 4, a receiving unit composed of a light receiving element 5 and an amplifying IC 6 that amplifies the output signal of the light receiving element 5, and other circuits which are annexed to the transmission unit and receiving unit and combined on a board 2. A ceramic board formed of laminated green sheets is made to serve as the board 2. Two recesses 2f and 2g whose depths are each larger than the mounting heights of the ICs 4 and 6 and the elements 3 and 5 are cut in the board 2, and the light emitting unit and the light receiving unit are fixed in the different recesses respectively and sealed up with molding resin separately. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
