摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for analyzing a nucleic acid wherein a non- specific linkage which can be formed between a specimen nucleic acid and a nucleic acid probe is diminished, especially such a method using a chip for nucleic acid detection, and to provide such a chip which is highly versatile and can be produced at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This method comprises the steps of (a) hybridizing a specimen nucleic acid in a sample, a mediator probe containing a sequence complementary to a target sequence and a sequence with low probability of its presence in the natural world, and a trapping probe containing a sequence complementary to the low-probability sequence and immobilized on a solid phase surface, and (b) detecting the presence of the target sequence in the sample by detecting a linkage formed as a result of the hybridization. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
