PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional imaging apparatus that the S/N of an output signal after correction is deteriorated and an excellent correction image cannot be obtained because electric multiplication of a correction coefficient is used to correct degradation of a surrounding luminous quantity caused by a lens optical system. SOLUTION: A coefficient arithmetic circuit 19 obtains a peripheral luminous quantity coefficient stored in a memory 20 on the basis of a lens peripheral luminous quantity condition from a control circuit 18 and a horizontal and vertical synchronizing signal reference from a drive circuit 11 to calculate a correction coefficient in the unit of each pixel of an imaging signal. A multiplier circuit 8 multiplies the obtained correction coefficient with the imaging signal to correct the peripheral luminous quantity level, and a correction circuit 10 receives a control signal in interlocking with the coefficient arithmetic circuit 19 to carry out noise correction processing by using the control signal.
