<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for concentrating and collecting multipotential nerve stem cells from ES cells in a high yield. <P>SOLUTION: This method for collecting the multipotential nerve stem cells comprises bringing the ES cells into contact with one or several kinds of biological factors to induce the nerve stem cells and then concentrating and collecting the nerve stem cells by a negative section method or a positive selection method using magnetic fine particles for non-nerve stem cells or magnetic fine particles for nerve stem cells. Prior to the collection, it is desirable that the cultured cells are treated with a protease and further with a mesh to disperse the cells. The magnetic fine particles used for the negative selection method are preferably peanut lectin-bound magnetic fine particles or anti-β1 integrin antibody- bound magnetic fine particles, and the magnetic fine particles used for the positive selection method are preferably anti-PSA-NCAM antibody-bound magnetic fine particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
