<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head having a low gravity center by which a ball is easy to fly up even when used by a high handicap player and by which the ball is easy to be hit. <P>SOLUTION: This iron golf club head 1 has a face section 2 having a flat face surface 2f, and a hosel section 3 which continues to the heel side of the face section 2. On the hosel section 3, a shaft-inserting hole 4 is provided in a manner to go through. For the hosel section 3 as shown in Figure 2, the whole is arranged forward than the surface including the face surface 2f. A point P at the lower end at the axial center position of the shaft-inserting hole 4 is located to be lower than the upper edge 2t of the face section 2, and higher than the lower edge 2b of the face section. The lower end surface of the hosel section 3 is formed into a slope which tilts in the direction to the hole in such a manner that the lower end surface may come closer to the face surface 2f as becoming closer to the lower end side in the hole direction of the shaft-inserting hole 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
