<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inkjet recording medium by which the inkjet recording medium with less crazings and an enough ink absorbing volume can be manufactured with excellent producitivity and also provide the inkjet recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the inkjet recording medium wherein a substrate is coated with a coating liquid comprising a dispersion of pigment particles and a water-soluble polymer, the method is characterized by (1) mixing the dispersion of the pigment particles and the water-soluble polymer solution after absorption of a cationic polymer to the pigment particles is stabilized when the dispersion of the pigment particles and the water-soluble polymer are mixed, or (2) mixing the dispersion of the pigment particles and the water-soluble polymer solution when the mean value of particle diameters of the dispersion of the pigment particles is 150-300 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
