PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulley unit for sufficiently securing the rotating speed of a rotating shaft of an accessory or etc., under lower idling circumstances while effectively preventing the excessive rotating speed of the rotating shaft during high speed revolution of an engine and thus contributing to a reduced weight of a rotating element. SOLUTION: A rotation control mechanism is a combination of a planetary mechanism 3 and a centrifugal clutch 5 for actualizing mechanically automatic change-over so that the rotating speed of the rotating shaft 2 is increased in a low-speed revolution region of the engine and the rotating speed of the rotating shaft 2 is equal to that of the pulley 1 in a high-speed revolution region of the engine without the need for a special change-over switch.
