The adapter device (1) has a contacting unit (8) to approach the contact surface (19) of the smart card (14). A transmission unit (5) accesses a receiver (13) wirelessly from smart card over the contacting unit selectable smart card data. The transmission unit is arranged as wireless interface, particularly as analog Radio frequency identification front end. The adapter device accommodates smart card according to International electrotechnical commission (IEC) 7816 standard.
