<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display which can prevent an image from being disordered and a large load from being generated when resolution is changed. <P>SOLUTION: A vertical frequency counter 51 counts a system clock with a vertical synchronizing signal and a vertical frequency comparator 5 detects whether the count value and a vertical frequency decoded value from a decoder 54 which shows a vertical frequency match each other. A line number counter 52 counts the vertical synchronizing signal with a horizontal synchronizing signal and a line number comparator 56 detects whether the counter value and a line number decoded value from the decoder 54 which indicates the number of lines match each other. A dot number counter 53 counts the horizontal synchronizing signal with an AD clock and a dot number comparator 57 detects whether the counter value and a dot number decoded value from the decoder 54 which shows the number of dots match each other. An OR circuit 61 ORs those results and its result is outputted as a mode monitor detection signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
