PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label for seal whose central removal area 8 of a label substrate 3 can be easily peeled on opening an envelope by maintaining the non-adhesiveness of the central removal area 8 so as to prevent an exuding portion of an adhesive layer 5 in a boundary part formed by a cutoff line 6 from intruding in the central removal area 8. SOLUTION: The label for seal is provided wherein, by interposing a non-adhesive layer 21 in a boundary part between a central removal area 8 and a sticking area via a cutoff line 6, an adhesive layer 5 is prevented from intruding into the central removal area 8 side as an exuding portion. The label for seal is so constituted that: a pair of right and left cutoff lines 6 extending in the length direction with a prescribed interval in the width direction are formed on a label substrate 3; a non-adhesive central removal area 8 is formed between the cutoff lines; the central removal area 8 is made separable from the label substrate 3; and a pair of right and left non-adhesive layers 21 positioned on the outer edge side from respective cutoff lines 6 in the width direction of the label substrate 3 and adjacent to the rear face of the central removal area 8 are formed on the rear face of the label substrate 3.
