摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument for measuring optical chirp characteristics for measuring optical chirp characteristics with higher accuracy than in the past. SOLUTION: This instrument for measuring optical chirp characteristics 100 is equipped with a light-branching part 101 for branching inputted measured light, a light intensity detecting part 102 for detecting the light intensity of the measured light, a Mach-Zehnder interferometer part 10 for outputting two optical interference intensity signals; an optical phase control part 103 for controlling the optical phase at the interferometer part 10; a balanced receiver 20 converting an optical output signal of the interferometer part 10 into an electrical signal; an optical fiber 104 connecting the interferometer part 10 and the balanced receiver 20; and an optical chirp measuring part 105 for measuring the optical chirp characteristics. The measuring part 105 is used for measuring the chirp characteristics, with the distinction level of the interferometer part 10 being at a midpoint between the maximum and minimum values of the amplitude of the two intensity signals.
