The present invention relates to a heat exchanger and an assembling method thereof, which can prevent occurrence of a gap at a combined portion of a coolant tube and a header unit, and can prevent leakage of a coolant at the combined portion of the coolant tube and the header unit, where it is difficult to maintain airtightness only by welding. For the same, the heat exchanger includes the coolant tube, the header unit and an airtight housing. At least two coolant tubes form a movement path of the coolant by being stacked while being separated from each other. The header unit is combined to one end part of the coolant tube in parallel, and forms the movement path of the coolant. The airtight housing includes a housing body surrounding the header unit, and a housing protruding part surrounding an end area of the coolant tube connected to the header unit by being extended from the housing body. Therefore, airtightness of the combined portion of the coolant tube and the header unit is maintained through an adhesive which is hardened in a separation space between the header unit and the housing body and in a separation space between the coolant tube and the housing protruding part. |
