PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shot peening method which can improve the accuracy of a shape of a workpiece after press working.SOLUTION: This shot peening method comprises a step for arranging a jig 12 having a proper dimension at one face side of a workpiece 11 after press working, and a step for performing shot peening 13 from the other face side of the workpiece 11 in a state that the jig 12 is arranged at one face side of the workpiece 11, and making the workpiece 11 fit the jig 12. At this time, the shot peening may be performed so that remaining stress at the inside of a curved part 18 of the workpiece 11 and that at the outside become compression stress.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
