PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual system providing improved use of a display surface.SOLUTION: A visual system of an embodiment comprises: an image acquisition unit; a display unit; and an arithmetic unit, the arithmetic unit scales the image in the imaging area using a scaling coefficient (n), the scaled image has at least two partial images corresponding to at least two imaging sections, respectively, one partial image out of the partial images is not compressed, one partial image out of the partial images is compressed, the scaling coefficient (n) is determined in response to an image angle of the image and corresponds to a mapping function (f(φ)), and the mapping function (f(φ)) is adapted in response to a drive state so that a partial image where a rear end of the trailer is visually recognized is located in the uncompressed partial image in the drive state where a vehicle curves or travels along a curve.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16 |
