<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a recording condition to an optical recording medium with a high precision in a short time even in the case of the occurrence of irregularity of sensitivity in the peripheral direction of the optical recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: An optical information recording device is provided with a recording and reproducing means for recording and reproducing a signal in a magneto-optical disk D, an information generation part 22a which sets a plurality of tentative areas on tracks of the magneto-optical disk D in the track direction and controls the recording and reproducing means so as to reproduce the tentative areas and selects a trial write area from a plurality of tentative areas on the basis of the detection quantity of a reproduced signal from each tentative area and generates area selection indication representative of the trial write area, and a recording condition setting part 23 which controls the recording and reproducing means so as to not only write information in the trial write area represented by the area selection information on trial but also reproduce the trial write area and sets a recording condition on the basis of a reproduced signal from the trial write area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
