The copolyesteramides are obtained by polycondensation of a linear polyamide containing ester or carboxylic end groups with a linear polyester containing hydroxyl end groups, with a weight ratio of polyamide blocks to polyester blocks which is between 1.5 and 20. The copolyesteramides thus produced are blocked; they have a Vicat point of between 105 DEG and 200 DEG C, a yield point elongation lower than 20% and a rigidity modulus of between 100 and 3000 kg/cm<2> at 20 DEG C. They are suitable for the manufacture of semirigid moulded articles which are resistant to impacts, in contrast to partly random amide copolyesters obtained from monomers corresponding to one of the initial polycondensates.
