<p>1. A percussion fuze for a projectile comprising a percussion member (6) and a pyrotechnic fuse (10) terminating in a detonator (12), the whole being adapted to detonate the projectile on impact, at least one moveable member (17) acting between the percussion member (6) and the detonator (12) so as to prevent detonation prior to the projectile being fired and during a period of time corresponding to safety at the firing point after firing, means (28) for causing the said moveable member (17) to be displaced into an arming position such as to permit detonation on impact, a timing mechanism (25, 26) for acting on the said moveable member (17) whereby subsequently to move it from its armed position and to place it in an inactive position in which detonation is no longer possible, the fuze further comprising a drive spring (28), one end (30) of which acts on the moveable member (17), characterised in that the other end (29) acts on the timing mechanism (25, 26), means (34, 37) for locking the said moveable member (17) being set in an unlocking position by the timing mechanism (25, 26).</p> |
