The process starts with a tubular metal part which is placed between the two halves of a mould, the interior walls of which are of the required shape. Pressure is applied to progressively deform the tubular part and adapt it to the shape of the mould. A rod is inserted through the holes to form the holes in the spherical component. It is of use in the mechanical industry, esp. automobile mfr.
