FIELD: electrical, electromechanical, and power engineering; power generation and control. SUBSTANCE: generator unit has generator coupled with prime mover 1 and automatic control system. Generator has stator incorporating magnetic stack 2 carrying output winding 3 and magnetic stack 4 carrying input winding 5, as well as rotor incorporating magnetic stack 6 with bars 7 adequately interconnected in two alternative ways; stator magnetic stacks 2, 4 are coaxially disposed and magnetically isolated from each other; input and output stator windings 5 and 3, respectively, are electromagnetically interlinked through rotor magnetic stack 6. Longitudinal component of armature reaction and gain chosen for proposed generator unit ensure weakening of interrelation between generator output coordinates, enhanced degree of output coordinates control separation and degree of their invariance with respect to external disturbances, and reduced installed capacity of generator-unit automatic control system.
