PURPOSE:To obtain a toner having sufficient stability to charged environment and with the improved dispersibility of its colorant by specifying the sum total of the aid value and hydroxyl value. CONSTITUTION:The volume average diameter of the polyester-based resin grains contg. a nonmagnetic colorant is controlled to 4-10mum, the grain consists essentially of a diol and a dicarboxylic acid, and the sum total of the acid value and hydroxyl value is adjusted to 3-20mgKOH/g. The absolute value of the electrification amt. when triboelectricity is generated between at least one of fluidity improving agents and a carrier is controlled to <=20muc/g. The acid value is thus decreased, hence the amt. of the carboxyl group in the polyester resin is reduced, and moisture is hardly absorbed by the toner at high humidity. As a result, the developer is hardly influenced by the environment such as temp. and humidity and has a stabilized property to be triboelectrified and a clear picture characteristic free of fogging, and its durability and stability are improved. |
