PURPOSE:To record data on an X-ray photographic film by forming a thermal transfer material by providing a hot melt ink layer containing an element (excepting a rare gas element) of an atomic number of 47 or more alone or a compound thereof as an X-ray shielding agent on a base material. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer material wherein a hot melt ink layer is formed on a base material, an element (excepting a rare gas element) having an atomic number of 47 or more alone or a compound thereof, pref. an element having an atomic number of 56 or more is added to the hot melt ink layer as an X-ray shielding agent in an amount of 10-95 wt.%. As an element alone or a compound thereof pref. used as the X-ray shielding agent, Ag, AgF, AgCl, SbCl3, CS2MoO4, BaSO4, CaWO4, Na2WO4, K2WO4, PtCl4, Au, AuCl3, HgNO3, PbCl, BiCl3 and Bi2O3 can be designated. The hot melt ink layer containing the X-ray shielding agent and a colored layer are provided on the base material by a hot melt coating method. |
