摘要 PURPOSE:To make the entire signal output circuit in a wide-band state by a method wherein a bipolar transistor is directly mounted to a predetermined region on a chip of an electric charge transferring element and this is used as a buffer circuit of an on-chip output amplifier. CONSTITUTION:bipolar transistor 9 is directly mounted to a mounting region 20 formed on a CCD chip 19. The connection of the mounting region 20 to the bipolar transistor 9 is conducted by using ordinary mounting materials such as silver paste, gold, tin or the like. The CCD chip 19 to which the bipolar dtransistor 9 is mounted is monted to a predetermined mounting region 22 of an IC package 21 by using the silver paste etc. A signal output circuit of an electric charge transferring element does not require a peculiar IC package. In addition, since a wiring from an on-chip output amplifer 6 to a base of the bipolar transistor 9 can be made shorter, load capacitance attributable to floating capacitance of the wiring can be restrained at a low value.
