PURPOSE:To prevent removal of a connector securely by locking the connector by engagement of contacts of a plug type and a receptable type connectors with each other. CONSTITUTION:A plug type connector 1 is inserted into a recessed groove 2c of a receptacle type connector 2 till a recessed part 3b of a contact 3 is applied to a protruding part 6a, where the protruding part is pushed inward by the resiliency of the contact, and by further insertion, the protruding part exceeds the applied protruding part to be engaged. At this time, the protruding part is energized outward, and because existence of a contact 6, it is prevented from returning to the position of a protruding part b' in a no-load condition. The protruding parts of both contacts are thus engaged with each other to lock both connectors, and a worker is given with a click feeling. |
